DIY Festival Fashion Part 2

Festival Shorts
This is a great way to achieve that festival style and to do something with those old jeans that you don’t wear anymore or that are too worn and tattered. Customise them! There are so many different ways to do this, add a trim or fringing to the pockets, dye them, embellish them with studs or flowers, add scraps of fabric to them or lace to the ends. You can achieve so many different looks and use up your old scraps of fabric etc at the same time. Here are some amazing examples that I found for inspiration.
Face Paint
When all else fails, the perfect way to instantly achieve that summer festival look is to use your good old fashioned face paint. That way you have complete control over how much or how little you want to express yourself. Plus you can have a different look every day. You don’t even need much artistic ability as sometimes it is the simple designs that are the most effective! So whether you want flowers, polka dots, stripes, geometric prints or to go full on Braveheart, face paint is most definitely the easiest option!
So I think there is enough inspiration there to keep everyone going for another week! You may have noticed that I didn’t include one of the biggest festival accessories, your wellies, but there is method to my madness. Next weeks post is going to be devoted entirely to the many different ways that you can customise your footwear so you can stand out from the crowd, including paints, fabric, knitting and embellishments, so until then get cracking on your festival fashion!
