About two weeks ago me and my fellow Vibes & Scribes colleague Emer headed off to the Christ Church, located on Tobin Street in Cork City. This beautiful neoclassical building was completed in 1725 and is now a cultural and artistic centre managed by the Triskel Arts Centre. Deconsecrated in 1978 and stunningly restored, the church is now open as the perfect venue for civil weddings, civil partnership and personalised ceremonies.
We brought along a whole range of fabulous DIY wedding supplies to showcase just how beautiful they are in situ. It was such a great morning putting together the different elements and styling them in the beautiful surroundings. We wanted to demonstrate how you can create a really luxe and dramatic look, on a budget, doing it yourself.
These white rose hearts make the perfect end of pew decorations, while bunting like this adds a really fun, vintage-y effect. Creating your own wedding decorations can be a really great way of keeping your special day unique and specific to you and your partner. There’s no need to spend huge amounts of money when you can create a really high-end look yourself, for little effort and with our help of course!
