"LOVE"

Before Christmas, I was invited to the wedding of my best friend’s sister. In the lead up to the wedding, I helped with different aspects of the decoration. One of the ideas my friend and I came up with was to make props which guests could use in a photobooth. One of the props I made was the word “LOVE” made out of decoupaged papier-mâché letters. Using the papier-mâché letters (HERE), decoupage paper (HERE) and some PVA glue (HERE), all available on our online shop and in-store, this was the result!

The couple liked them so much they used them as decorations on a table at the reception. It was so easy to do. The decoupage paper is so thin and delicate that even if you cut or tear it, you can barely notice the edges on the finished pieces. A sealing layer of PVA over all the letters smoothes everything out and adds a professional finish to the letters.

I was delighted to be able to do something for such a lovely couple and it was great to hear the compliments on the day!
