DIY Lace Candle Holders
27th Feb 2016
You will need:
First, cut your lace into a rectangle approximately 10cm by 20cm . This will cover one candle holder.
Next apply a strip of Hi Tack glue down one side of your candle holder, you can use a paintbrush for this or straight from the tube. Allow the glue a minute or two to get tacky before pressing the edge of the lace over it. The lace tends to slide off when the glue is wet.
Allow this to dry before wrapping the lace around the candle holder and securing the other side with more Hi Tack.
Next, coat the rim of the candle holder with glue, you can use an elastic band to hold the lace around the rim while it dries.
Lastly, glue the lace to the bottom of the candle holder and trim off any excess to tidy up the edges.
We made our candle holders using black lace to match our black and white colour scheme, our Budget Lace comes in a whole range of colours you could try this project with.
