No-Sew Cushion Cover

There are so many possibilities when it comes to fabric
craft projects, but for those who are beginners to sewing or don't
happen to own a sewing machine their options might seem more limited. So
here's a really quick and easy DIY cushion cover with no sewing
involved. All you need to make it is hemming web and your choice of
fabric.
With the choice of cotton fabrics in the shop at the moment it was hard to choose just one, but I decided on this grey and mint green patterned cotton.
First you
will need to measure your cushion to determine how much fabric you will
need. Mine was 18 x 18 inches so I cut my fabric at 20 inches wide,
allowing an inch each side for the seams. I then cut the length to 40
inches.
After this I folded in both ends of my fabric so that it
measured 18 inches. The two ends of fabric overlap in the middle so that
there will be no zip needed once the cushion cover is finished, this is
the reason for the 4 extra inches in the length.
Make sure your fabric
is folded with the right side of the fabric facing in as it needs to be
ironed inside out.
Then all you have to do is use the hemming web to
iron the seams at both sides. Once this is done you can turn it right
side out and your cushion cover is finished!
You could choose to
embellish it with a trim or buttons. I used a leftover strip of the same
fabric to make a bow to finish it off. Get your hemming web here, and browse our range of cottons here!
