Manos del Uruguay Wool Clasica is hand-spun in the spinning wheel from the purest Corridale Wool and hand dyed in large kettles to obtain traditional colours that go from subtly variegated semi-solid colors to the explosion of colors of space-dyed shades. The natural variations in texture and colour produce a rich knitted fabric ideal for outerwear; the yarn takes particularly well to simple stitch patterns and felts beautifully. The broad colour range is wonderful for home decor projects.

Manos Del Uruguay, The hands of Uruguay, is a non profit organisation which assembles women in cooperatives scattered throughout the countryside of Uruguay. The aim of the organisation is to bring economic and social opportunities to rural women. They are a proud members of the World Fair Trade Organisation.
