Inspired by a vintage Austrian hiking jacket. This neat mid-season piece is perfect for all weathers. A double breasted jacket that can be lined or unlined. It features two flap pockets and a button tab to close the collar.
Denham is more closely fitting than a lot of our other patterns, do carefully check the finished measurements table, and if in doubt size up.
All seam allowances are 1.5cm unless stated otherwise and are included in the pattern.
Suitable fabrics:
Dry oilskin, oilskin, linen, 8 -12oz denim, wool, corduroy, cotton twills or canvas. A heavier weight cloth will result in a more structured jacket.
For linings we'd suggest our barrier lining if using an oilskin, otherwise - cotton voile, light
You will also need:
- Matching thread
- 16 x 2cm (¾") buttons
- 90cm (1yd) interfacing (recommended for most fabric)
- 40cm (½yd) of lining for pocket bags, if making unlined jacket
- 3 smaller buttons can be used on the tab and label, in which case you will need 13 x 2cm (¾") and 3 x 1.5cm (½") buttons.
