Return & Refund FAQ's

Can I return my order?

If you find a product or more unsuitable to your needs, given the item(s) meet the Refund and Return Conditions, you can return it to us for a refund or account credit. Your returns slip information will be attached to the invoice you recieved with your order. You can also download your returns slip here.

Refund and Return Conditions:

  • Goods returned must be in original packaging, with labels still attached.
  • Goods must be returned within fourteen days of receipt.
  • Goods must have an accompanying receipt and note of reason for return.
  • Any damaged or malfunctioning items must be highlighted to us within 7 days.
  • Any other shortages/errors found regarding your order must also be highlighted to us within 7 days.
  • Costs incurred in posting the returned item are not refundable.
  • Goods returned must not be those exempt from return terms and conditions.

Can I exchange my order?

  • In-Store - Yes
    You can call into our store(s) to exchange your online order, please have your order number handy.

  • Online - No
    We don't offer free exchanges or returns so the fastest way to get the items you prefer is to place a brand new order and return your old one.

Can I cancel my order?

Yes. Under the CRD, you have 14 working days to change your mind without having to give a reason. This right to cancel is also known as the ‘cooling-off period’.

Please let us know us as quickly as possible if you'd like to cancel your order and we will do so before if is processed and collected by An Post.

If your order has already been shipped, we can't cancel and refund your order until it is returned to us in-store. Please refuse the parcel when it is delivered and it will make it's way back to us, we will then refund your order, including original postal costs. We will notify you via email once this has been done.

Are there any products I can't return?

Yes, products exempt from return terms and conditions are:

  1. Digital patterns
  2. Gift vouchers

How long will my return take?

You have 28 days from the date you receive your order to return it for a refund.

  • It can take up to 15 calendar days for your order to reach us and be processed.
  • Refunds can then take up to 10 working days to show on your bank account.

Can I get credit instead of a refund?

Yes, in order to return your item for credit, you need to have placed your through your Vibes and Scribes account, not as a guest. If you mistakenly checked out as a guest, please include your Vibes and Scribes account email on your returns slip and we can add the value of your return to your account manually.

How do I return something to you from overseas?

You have 28 days from the date you receive your order to return it for a refund. Please arrange delivery with your local postal service. As with ROI customers, return postage is paid for by the customer.

Does my orginal shipping fee get refunded?

No, just the value of the physical items you are returning are eligible for a refund or credit.

How can I get a new returns slip?

Just follow the instructions on the returns slip, making sure you let us know your order number and the items you're returning. We'll need these details to process your refund.

Once it's all filled out, put the returns slip inside the parcel and send it back to us.

Can I return more than one order in the same parcel?

Yes, just make sure to include both order numbers as we need these to process your return(s).

What happens to my refund if my card is no longer in use?

Your refund will still go back onto the card details used on your order as long as the card account is still open.

When a card is lost, stolen or cancelled, we can still refund that card. We cannot refund your order to a different card.

What should I do if my refund is incorrect?

We're really sorry if we've made a mistake with your refund!

If this is the case please get in touch with our Customer Care team and we'll try and sort it out for you as soon as possible. Please make sure that you include your order number and any item details relating to the refund when you get in touch.

Before you contact us, the following may affect the amount you have been refunded:

  • The delivery charge, which is only refunded for cancelled orders under the 2011/83/EC (Consumer Rights Directive) or if the goods are faulty.

Can I return items I've bought with a gift voucher?

Of course! Your right to return an item is exactly the same regardless of whether you bought it with a gift voucher, a payment card, or a combination of the two.

If you paid for your whole order with a gift voucher, then the refund will be credited to your Vibes & Scribes account ready for you to spend straight away.

If you paid with a combination of gift voucher and another payment method, we'll refund the alternative payment method first and then the remaining amount will be credited to your Vibes & Scribes account ready for you to spend.

If you paid with a Gift Voucher but checked out as a guest and don't have an account with us, we'll need to make one for you when refunding your return. A member of our customer service team will be in contact with you to arrange this.
